Christmas at Nama and Papa's House

It was amazing to celebrate "Jesus' birthday" with Ben (& Sophia, of course) this year. He was so excited to put oatmeal out for Santa's reindeer and discover they had actually eaten it. He loved the paper off the gifts and would stop and play with each one before moving on....which explains why it took him until 3pm to finish! It was wonderful to share it with his Uncle Drew, Nama and Papa, too.

Ben's Christmas Concert...

Though you can't see it in this clip, Ben did actually sing along with the songs (a big improvement from Halloween when he sat on my lap during the class concert!

Ben's Third Birthday!

Ben wasn't feeling great all weekend, but the show must go on! We celebrated by sharing cupcakes at his school, then lunch at Jalepenos for his favorite (beans & rice:) and then a party at nama and papa's...a wonderful day!

A little boy's imagination...

Ben decided to take off all the cushions and pillows and create tunnels with the couch, then crawled under and tried to cross over the "bridge"...luckily no major injuries were sustained!:)

Tummy Time

Sophia has been working on extending her tummy time and can roll onto her back from this position now. She'll be five months old tomorrow!

Ben & Sophia...a rare picture together!

Ben is a true snuggler (but doesn't pay much attention to his lil'sis much yet), so I was touched when I caught him lay down next to Sophia. She ADORES him, every word out of his mouth is pure magic...she gets the goofiest grin when he talks.:)

Reading Bed...

Ben snuggled up this morning in his "reading bed" and I tried to get some candid pictures since he usually runs from the camera! I love that he loves to read. Saturday (rain showers permitting) we are going to the Book Festival in Forsyth Park downtown. He will be able to listen to the authors like Mo Wllems and Michelle Knudson read their books. What a great way to learn what author means!

Sophia's Smile

Sophia: 4 months old!

Wow, hard to believe she is already four months old. She had her first taste of baby cereal this week and spit it all out. She went to the doctor and we found out she werighs 15.3 pounds and is 26 inches long. You go girl!:)

Ben Builds His Family:)

Ben generally likes to build towers and such with his many blocks. This day I caught him talking and building in his playroom...I ran to get the camera and just started asking questions about his creation.

Picnic at the Beach

Ben loves me to bring a picnic lunch on days that I pick him up from Pre-K. He would like to pinic every time but I try to surprise him. Today we went to a new location near the bridge to watch the boats and look for hermit crabs.

Halloween...

Benjamin was very excited about Halloween this year and talked about being an astronaut for weeks before the big day. Sophia was a very good sport while we went trick-or-treating.
