Three

Sophia turned three yesterday...bittersweet for us. She has always acted like a "big girl" but it was nice to keep saying she was just two. She had a great day with her grandparents and loved the cake and opening gifts, of course.

Minnesota Trip

We took a road trip back to MN last weekend for my best friend Steph's wedding/ reception. It was my first time bringing Luis and the kids to my home state. It was an amazing reunion with family, friends, and special places that I treasure.

Sprinkler Time

Is there anything better than running through a sprinkler?! I think not! :) The temperatures reached 9o+ yesterday so we pulled out the little blue pool (it actually survived the winter outside;o) and turned on the sprinkler. The water was COLD, but they soon got over that! My favorite is the one of Sophia putting on the breaks before she can muster the courage to jump over the thing.

The Wedding!

We had a best time in St. Michael's, Maryland at Drew & Demme's wedding. The kids thoroughly enjoyed "unplugging" from everything and just having fun in the sun with their cousins.

Easterpalooza :)

Art projects, eggs, egg hunting, baskets, colored bubbles...it has been a great weekend for all (despite temps hovering around 47 F!).

Here come the sillies...

Ok, we finally have a new camera, so I am posting alot of new pictures. The biggest news this week is that ants arrived for the Ant Farm that Nama gave Ben for Christmas. They have mesmerized both kids. Plus, Ben celebrated Dr. Suess day at school and brought home some fun class creations.

Ben & Sophie Together...

I have to really relish these pics of these two together...smiling...happy...since they love each other dearly but have to be constantly supervized (note Ben's hug/ headlock!). We were able to make a Viking- inspired snowman right before the snow melted last week and took advantage of the warmer weather with a visit to the Kansas City Zoo. The polar bears were amazing.
